   I have the same problem...doesn't do anything Just I think it is the Auto Retrieve MMS and too while ROAMING since I am 1200 miles away from my dwelling house expanse, so (MetroPCS) is roaming vocalization/text/1Xdata on Dart but when outside become 4G information (T-Mobile), then my model S3 has to switch dorsum and along between carriers (Sprint & T-Mobile)
   So information technology is not harming anything just a little annoying, merely I will "build a bridge and go the f*** over it"......

   Hey I didn't read to the bitter stop of this only I tin can tell you why I get this mistake. Is your phone rooted? I go it because my phone is looking for updates. The beginning time it happened was when my phone was rooted and they were pushing the update to jellybean. So I had to united nations root, dl the update to 4.1.2 and then I never re-rooted, well I just rerooted today and gauge what message is back!? I haven't worked on information technology even so but just wanted to say it could be this effect of your carrier pinging for car updates.

   I had the aforementioned download fault issue and I causeless its one of the apps I recently installed called "shut up button" and since I have uninstalled that app I haven't seen the fault message. Hope this helps.

   Kelly,
   You could effort booting into Prophylactic mode and see if you're able to access the phone. It's possible that some app you recently installed is causing the problem.

   To kick into Prophylactic fashion:
   - plough the phone completely off
   - press and hold the Book Downwardly rocker (and keep holding information technology)
   - printing the Ability push button until you lot experience the phone vibrate (usually 2-3 seconds)
   - keep holding the Volume Down rocker until the phone finishes booting
   You'll come across 'Condom fashion' in the lower left corner

   How-do-you-do, I had this issue. I solved it by deleting all my sms letters/threads. The simply time I'd e'er received this message, prior to the update, was when I was sent a mms bulletin. Inthat instance the mms was never downloaded, and I deleted the message. I think, somehow during the update, the attempt to download this mms was reignited. Since deleting all sms/mms messages/threads I've non had this alert. I hope this helps. Thanks.

    Solved! I had the same trouble. There was a mms that I had not downloaded, I deleted the bulletin and bingo... no more annoying "currently unable to download" notifications.
    Cheers guys, wouldn't have sussed information technology without you lot :-)

    I have had also the same problem since last ii week then i noticed that what happened when this error is poping up over again and once again i noticed that when i recive a motion picture message in inbox i mean in text message it says download and i can't see the image after that whenever i plow on my Wifi this fault pops up you lot should ameliorate delete all your inbox messages you may besides go one of that picture message that is trying to download. i hope this volition work information technology worked for me.

    This answer worked for me! I noticed I had an incoming bulletin with an zipper that hadn't been downloaded, but was expired. Deleted the message -- sadly, I couldn't take hold of the file kickoff -- and I no longer get that extremely annoying error.

    I also face the same problem and I fixed it by;

    1. Go to SMS settings.
    2. Select Multimedia Letters
    3. Uncheck the Auto Call up Pick

    Hello everybody!

    I take got the same trouble like you for 1 calendar week and I finally found what was wrong.

    These are some pictures that someone sent me by MMS which the prison cell phone couldn't download. Why? In my case, it is a French telephone, so I disabled the mobile information because I am currently in the US.

    The mobile phone requires information to download the pictures, not the Wi-Fi. this is why I got everytime this tiring bulletin : "Currently unable to download. Delight try again afterward."
    So I deleted the MMS I received in the thread.

    I promise information technology'll do the same for yous guys.
    Promise my message volition be helpful.

    Hey Guys,

    I just wanted to share my feel with you all and hope it volition exist helpful. I have Note three updated to lollipop simply I believe all Android phones are similar.

    Starting time of all ANDROID IS CRAZY "Literally", you lot will non understand when the problem will happen to your phone and how to set information technology, especially that the problems may be interrelated, and one fix may non be plenty until yous know really what is wrong with your phone.

    Now to the subject area, my phone was getting this "unable to download" error bulletin, then same fourth dimension suddenly from no where I become an fault on the notification menu "sign-in request" with Gallery Picture abreast it, and when I click on this bulletin information technology requests to log in with Picasa and then all google applications disappear from the telephone, and when I go inside "Apps" (on the bottom correct of your phone desktop) I constitute them disappeared from the inner folders of Google, then of a sudden out of no where all apps get redistributed over the pages within Apps and Google Apps return back once more distributed also. All of this besides when I was restarting the phone it was taking around v minutes to open phone'south desktop.

    To fix the above I made Wipe data and manufacturing plant reset more than 5 times in 2 days with no result.

    And then later some search I did the below fixing (afterward ane more factory residual):
    1- Went to Settings - "General" Tab - Accounts - Google then click on the electronic mail abreast the Sync symbol, then scroll to the cease of the page and uncheck "Sync Picasa Web Albums".
    2- Went to Settings - "General" Tab - curl downwards to About Device - click on Software updates then uncheck "Wi-Fi only". (Of course this is going to charge if not subscribed to mobile data package).
    3- Went to Letters - click on menu - Settings - Multimedia messages, and so uncheck Motorcar retrieve.
    four- Activate "Mobile Data" from notification carte and disable Wi-Fi.
    5- Restart the Phone.

    All of the in a higher place stock-still my problems, just again we have to retrieve, Android is crazy, at least for me.

    Promise this is useful to somebody out there.
